June 6th is a historic day at AWP Industries, Inc.
On June 6, 1990, American Wire Products was incorporated. It marked the start of a new era in our industry.
Craig F. Chamberlin, our founder, introduced a new business model to the metal-working industry: a model that adheres to the highest international quality standards; a model centered around the customer; a model that knows that a product may be made of metal, but a business is made of people.
Today AWP Industries, Inc.—our official corporate name since January 1995—is a highly diversified, customer-focused company. Our 221,091 square-foot building—located on a 15-acre site in Frankfort, Kentucky—houses state-of-the-art, automated equipment and a unique team of highly skilled and experienced metal-working professionals. It's a combination that permits us to maximize productivity and to achieve very high economies of scale. It’s a combination that also allows us to meet the goals set forth in our mission statement: to be the best-managed metal fabricator in the United States, an excellent company overall, and to be recognized as such by others.
