American Wire Products Announces a New Quick Ship
Location and Offers More Competitive Product in Two Existing
Locations

- American Wire Products, one of three business units
of AWP Industries, Inc., announces the opening of their wire
mesh decking ‘Quick Ship’ location in Atlanta, Georgia. This
new location will provide the availability of ten (10) of the
most widely used wire deck offerings (for pallet rack) in a
2-1/2” x 4” mesh pattern. The 2-1/2” x 4” mesh is less
expensive and provides the same capacity for uniformly
distributed loads as compared to the also popular 2” x 4”
mesh. In addition, AWP now offers the more competitive 2-1/2”
x 4” mesh configuration on all decks in their Dallas, Texas,
and Los Angeles, California ‘Quick Ship’ locations.
Dale Stuban, General Manager of AWP,
comments on the company’s desire to strive for new,
competitive edges such as new shipment locations. “As costs
continue to be driven down and performance expectations
increasingly rise, AWP has now revamped these locations to
better serve the present needs of our customers,” says
Stuban. “Customers will find reduced prices without reduced
capacities. They will also find additional offerings to
satisfy lighter weight capacity applications.”
The Atlanta, GA, program will be of a
great freight and cost advantage not only to customers in
Georgia, but also to those in such states as North Carolina,
South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida. This Georgia location
is AWP’s seventh wire mesh decking location to ship product 48
hours upon receipt of an order.
AWP’s other Quick Ship locations include
Frankfort, KY, which is the largest with over 200 offerings;
Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis, MN; Dallas, TX; Scranton, PA,
and Indianapolis, IN. The Los Angeles location offers eleven
(11) wire mesh decking sizes and one (1) wire mesh “Junior”
container size. The Dallas location will offer one less of
the same wire mesh decking sizes available in Los Angeles.
The Minneapolis, Scranton, and Indianapolis locations offer
the same identical ten (10) decks. All items offered are
finished with an oven-baked gray enamel.
