AWP Industries, Inc. Is Expanding Folding Container 'Quick Ship' Program

FRANKFORT, KY:  (October 24, 2005) – AWP Industries, Inc. is expanding their Frankfort, KY 48-hour ‘Quick Ship’ program to include a larger inventory of their standard-sized, wire mesh containers.

AWP can now ship up to 249 units on a given order in 48 hours!  Previously, wire containers were available in quantities up to only 100 units within American Wire Products’ ‘Quick Ship’ timeframe. 

“It all started with customer requests,” states Steve Marcozzi, AWP Material Handling Sales Manager.  “Our customers ask for fast, reliable product availability.  We are simply responding to their needs.”

Quick delivery isn’t the only perk of AWP’s new stocking program.  Container prices have dropped by an average of 25 percent, a tremendous savings.  “By increasing the number we offer out of inventory, we are able to lower our cost to the customer, which is critically important in the competitive Material Handling industry.” Says Kara Oberlander, AWP Controller.

Three sizes of wire mesh containers are now available for dealer order requirements:  32" x 40" (outside dimension) x 28" (inside height); 40” x 48” (outside dimension) x 30” (inside height); and 40” x 48” (outside dimension) x 36” (inside height).

All three stock containers are finished with clear zinc dichromate and are made of a 2 x 2 mesh pattern with 2-gauge wire and hold up to 4,000 lbs capacity.  Each is equipped with one half-drop gate.  These containers have safety lugs to prevent containers from sliding while stacked.  Also, a bar code plate is affixed to the side of the container for easy labeling.
